╭━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Region information Zone element Plague (Contested) Reigning God The Plaguebringer Indigenous Life Desert strangler, Sparksylph Regional Climates Steppe, desert A long stretch of sand and steppe that starts in the approximate middle of the Saiheskiak and runs up to the north into the Scarred Wasteland. The stretch of land is often plagued by magical storms and an otherwise regular harsher climate. Despite this, people still brave its expanse to make a pilgrimage up north, or even call it home. The residents are hardened and nomadic and know the land like the back of their hand. They’re eager to help those that cross them, and all the more insistent that if you see a tree out in the steppe that you do not, under any circumstance approach it and keep your head down as you pass. The people that live here are sometimes called the Crawling ones, but they themselves refer to each other as the Kin. Vault A town that sits in a canyon leading into Sternum ridge, unnaturally carved out from the bone and the earth. Like an ant colony, tunnels wind from the lush center, housing many of the living residents and dead ones awaiting burial. Dima, The leader of the cult of Cenotaph has taken to giving last rites to those that perish in the Deathlands within the bounds of Vault, no matter how monstrous. The architecture is marked with clay tile roofs, bone-white stone walls, wooden beams and an excess of inner courtyards. Dima’s personal villa is the grandest, although it also serves as the avenue for meetings between the Vault townsfolk. Within the caves around Vault one can find libraries, storages and crypts for the dead, sitting amongst faintly glowing crystals. |

The Magnolia Circle The Summer encampment of The Kin, situated far closer to the Sternum Ridge so they stay out of the Magical storms that tend to roll around the beginning of the season. Their colorful tents have been set up between the trees from which the location takes it place, a sizeable rocky outcrop that is arranged in a strangely perfect circle. The Kin observe a great many summer rituals while they’re camped out here, having designated the location as a place of power. |

The Farm A subzero stretch of land that has taken over a chunk of the Deathlands in the direction of the Tangled wood. While the Farm does have fields with produce as the name implies one is discouraged from touching any of it, if not completely forbidden from entering the Farm. The Farm is most notably the home of Marzanna, an old and mercurial figure who has built her facility around a node of power within the landscape she is both researching and containing. The magic rising from the question is both prone to portals and generating wild magic. The centerpiece of the facility is a huge gnarled tree that grows meaty fruits and sprouts from a presumably slain emperor that Marzanna tends to with occasional sacrifices. |
