The Tower
“He that is proud eats up himself; pride is his own glass, his own trumpet, his own chronicle.”
At the edge of the Quarantine Zone sits a crumbling ruin, a tower shivering to pieces in the shadow of the Oculus. There are no signs of habitation, no nests growing out of the slick pustules of rot that coat the stonework. House Saryoni has little interest in explaining how they actually manage to survive the day-to-day. Setting: Sornieth. For the most part, completely friendly to the lore of Flight Risin’s site. Status: Incomplete Lore Tab. Are The Literally Dragons? Yes |
|
The Hanged Man
“You desire to know the art of living, my friend? It is contained in one phrase: make use of suffering.”
|
Nas Laed. To most, a foul keep hidden high in the mountains where the air is too thin to fly. To her mistress, the stone walls tell of a sanctuary where she can keep her most precious gifts secure. The cunning necromancer Nimue keeps armies that need no air or supplies, and gifts her wife finery enough to make up for the lack of intelligent company. Creiddylad just wants to know why these princes keep attempting to rescue her. Setting: Fairytale Inspired, very Princess and the Dragon. Status: Incomplete Lore Tab Are The Literally Dragons? Some of Them. |
The Magician
“In everything natural there is something marvellous.”
TBD Setting: Dark Academia Inspired? I don’t even know. Status: Incomplete Lore Tab Are The Literally Dragons? No |
|
The Lovers
“Don't go looking for love, let it find you. That's why it's called falling; you don't mean to, you just do.”
|
Alas, every great empire needs two things to function. Money and people. Most will leave, pushed out by circumstance and a lack of effort in keeping up social ties. They’ll find other lairs, people who will recognise their innate strengths or modify them to suit their needs. Status: Breeding Pairs Tab |
The Wheel of Fortune
“Alongside time exists fate, the bearer of cruelty.”
Stonks. Status: Sales Tab / Holding for Nest Rentals |
|
The Fool
“If you don't know where you are going, any road will get you there.”
|
The nice thing about giving your identity to a faerie is the lack of free will, truly. There’s something freeing about being the blind subject of an irrational being’s resolve, and after so long the downsides don’t even register to the Fool. Really, they don’t. They’re fine. They don’t even know what they look like under the mask. Setting: Dungeons and Dragons, Former Player Character Status: Fandragon Tab <3 Are The Literally Dragons? No But That Would Be Sick |
The High Priestess
“The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honours the servant and has forgotten the gift.”
At the behest of her father’s increasingly disturbed letters, Eirlys returns to her ancestral demesne to handle the estate after his inevitable passing. Surely he must be gravely ill, given the rambling scrawl she’d been reading. Tales of sentient shadows and possessed townsfolk were the makings of an unwell mind. It was her burden to bear as the eldest of seven daughters, the rest married off or crippled by the family’s notoriously weak wills. It was just the family curse finally reaching him, nothing more. Setting: Horror Inspired Status: Incomplete Lore Tab Are The Literally Dragons? No. Well… |
|
The Hierophant
“I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use.”
|
The Royal Family of Roseweald Castle have grown a most honourable court. The Snapdragon Queen keeps her vassals and devotees like a garden, as befits her most ethereal of titles. She tends to her people as they grow loyal in her purpose, and prunes weeds long before they can threaten her rosebeds. But not all is well, in her castle. Discontent mutterings have reached the ear of her spymaster, worries about the encroaching empire of rot. They whisper that she’s grown cold as her lands grow, unable to devote her singular attention to the people as she once did. Tragedy strikes on the winter solstice, an assassination of the beloved queen at what should have been the dawn of her glory. Setting: Fantasy European Court Murder Mystery Status: Incomplete Puzzle Tab Are The Literally Dragons? Ambiguous |
The Chariot
“Valour lies just halfway between rashness and cowardice.”
The High Seas are no place to raise a child, but the crew aboard the Queen of the Depths certainly don’t have an alternative. A sea wyrm, rare enough to be thought a myth, couldn’t be handed over to the local orphanage. The matter was further complicated by their ice-hearted captain when she looked at the creature’s scaly little face and melted. Elsewhere, a small port o’ call has recently unearthed a massive automaton in the shape of an ancient drake. Their local engineer, strangely enough, is up to the task at hand. Setting: Golden Age of Piracy Inspired Status: Incomplete Lore Tab Are The Literally Dragons? Some of Them |
