Personality: Lif is a generally easygoing dragon, often found lounging in what sunlight he can find in the Tangled Wood. He doesn't care for hard work of any kind, much preferring preaching and gardening to anything too strenuous. Easily the most relaxed member of Absalous, Lif is difficult to not get along with, even for the grouchiest dragons. He's very good at discerning what's on somebody's mind and is always willing to lend an ear once he gets them to open up. His devotion is greatest pride, whether it be to the Gladekeeper or his beloved Astarte, Lif would scale the Pillar of the World if it was for them. Lore: Lif is extremely devoted to the Gladekeeper and has been since hatching. He was raised in an incredibly tightknit tribe of druids nestled within the roots of the Behemoth. It is a right of passage for druids of this community to take a pilgrimage across Sornieth, finding and healing those in need while also spreading the message of the Gladekeeper, until finally returning to the tribe. While in the Singer's Brook, Lif discovered a lone egg, from which hatched Taiga, whom he swiftly adopted. The two spent several years travelling around the Windswept Plateau until finally making their way into the Starfall Isles, where Lif would first encounter his future husband Astarte. Though off to a rocky start due to Taiga infesting Astarte's library with sand creeper, he and Lif would develop a powerful bond over the years as Lif continued to find ways to circle back to his den. Eventually when Astarte and his sisters made plans to move to the Tangled Wood, Lif decided to join them, cementing his relationship with Astarte. Though he does plan to one day return to his home tribe, he made careful note that there was no set age in which he would have to do so. |
