Head of the Engineering department and the metal forge. Loss is a part of life, it’s just a means to new beginnings. Sometimes life hits folks hard early on, Arpina was one of those dragons. Born with wings too small she never really learned at the same pace as her peers but there was always a chipper tone to the “Your wings will grow one of these days, chin up.” It was a great incentive until the reality settled into Arpina’s mind that her wings never would work no matter the size on the account that she couldn’t feel them. Ever the optimist however, the Spiral was determined to do just as she was told, keep her chin up. So what if her wings didn’t work! It’s not flight that defines a dragon, it’s their legacy, their character, their claws. Arpina bounced between dozens of trades as she grew up only to find the flames of the forge and how they made her feel alive. She could warp the strongest metal into anything her heart desired and have it done by her own claw, it was perfect, it was something she made hers. Arpina dived into the craft of metal work and engineering, developing a mechanical device that allowed her to move her useless wings and balance her weight. She became entranced by the power of heat and flames before finding the magic that could be built into her work. Arpina was already a master of metal at its core and now she had a new avenue to make her own. In pursuit of a rare metal, Arpina was in the Starfall Isles for what was supposed to be a few days but when she was approached by a Fae dragon who was searching for experts in engineering, how could she refuse a brand new forge that was hers and the new avenues it gave her.

Arpina is a bit of a chaotic professor. She doesn’t teach too many classes as most of the things she teaches take a long time to produce. However every student who’s taken one of her metalshop classes knows how passionate she can get about her and their work. Arpina takes safety extremely seriously and will not hesitate to dish out detention if you try and cut corners around her forge. |
