Apinti was one of the first dragons that Kazoo and Galoppade approached and invited to join their troupe. She was a very dexterous dragon that assisted her family in fishing for special river-based seafood. Seeing her moving swiftly and elegantly in her work inspired the pair of circus dragons. The Nocturne was perplexed by their invitation, not thinking she would fit the role of a circus performer. However, she was not happy being a fisher, so she took the role, thinking it would at least allow her to travel Sornieth and find her true passion.

Once they introduced Apinti to trapeze, she found herself to be a natural of the craft. She also enjoyed dressing up in extravagant outfits, which drew out what she thought was her inner beauty and true self. Her favorite apparel piece is the cape, and she owns quite the number of them in her closet.
