Alessia was created when a dragon succumbed to a horrifying nightmare, letting it take over and haunt them even in their waking hours. Such an experience was absorbed by Loyd, though her appearances were unexpected for what she represents. Although beautiful, her looks are deceiving, for a monster of pure terror lies beneath her shiny fur. Using her appearance, she can mesmerize and lure dragons to her part of the caverns, making them fall into a false sense of security and fall asleep before her, allowing her to strike.

The gaoler attacks dragons through their dreams, creating the worst images possible in their mind and bringing their fears front and center. On her own, Alessia will consume any positive dreams the dragon is currently having to replace them with nightmares that she conjures, though she will often work with her fellow remnant Unavyre to scare dragons, both of them taking great joy in causing them fear. Alessia is considered one of the nicer remnants on Loyd's side of the caverns despite the mental pain she inflicts on dragonkind. She doesn't consider anything personally and will even banter with her victims or Chloe's remnants if given the opportunity, though most of the time they won't respond in kind. Not that she minds; she has fun with it, and that's all that matters to her. She would say that she doesn't really care about anyone, though, there is one dragon that has managed to slip into her heart. |

Sometimes she'll end up coming across Solaris, who is another remnant that is able to walk into the dreams of dragons. However, while Alessia creates nightmares, Solaris offers comfort and warmth in happy dreams, making the two directly oppose each other. However, as much as she should hate the skydancer, Alessia can't help but think he's pretty cute... Especially when he gets annoyed by the gaoler's antics. Solaris, on the other hand, will always say that encountering Alessia is his own worst nightmare. |
