When Loyd had taken advantage of and absorbed the fears of a paranoid dragon trapped in the coatl's side of the cavern, he made said fears heightened by the nightmare Loyd brought to light. This nightmare is known by the name Unavyre, and will often be found stalking other dragons during the night, feeding off of their fear of her. She uses said fear as her life blood; not only does it make her stronger, but it also keeps her alive. The moment no one on Sornieth fears Unavyre is the moment she ceases to exist.
Although she is required to scare dragons to stay alive, she doesn't consider it to be a chore and rather enjoys invoking fear, whether it may be through stalking dragons or just jumping out and screaming at them. She never physically harms her prey, however, as she needs them to stay alive to be able continue to be afraid of her. Though, she'll never tell anyone that, because then they wouldn't get scared of her!

Unavyre especially loves picking on hatchlings or timid dragons, as they're the easiest to spook. Her favorite is Chloe's remnant Maz, who is both a hatchling and a scaredy dragon, making her an incredibly easy target. She despises Sorbet, however, as whenever she's around, she always comforts Maz and isn't afraid of the banescale, thus preventing Unavyre from feeding off of any fear from them both.

Whether it be misplacing their favorite object to an extreme such as faking her death, no one is safe from her antics, yet no one dares try to put a stop to it in fear for her strength. ... And this fear ends up fueling Unavyre even more.
