┌━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┐
Learning languages had always come naturally to Aiko. Even as a hatchling, she could carry a conversation long before her siblings, and was fluent in five languages before she left her birthclan’s nesting grounds. Because of her passion for language, Aiko’s parents had known their daughter would not be satisfied to stay in the Viridian Labyrinth all her life. As soon as she could, the adventurous Spiral left home for the great unknown.

As a traveler, Aiko devoured new languages and dialects as if they were delicious meal. She could master them so quickly that many dragons assumed her to be a native speaker after only a few weeks of practice. This skill, combined with the fact that Aiko was a confident negotiator, made life on the road a breeze. The resourceful female could bargain her way into free accommodation and meals for scant sums of treasure-- which was good considering the Spiral had almost no personal funds to speak of.

Only after she had traveled the world twice over did Aiko find herself longing for a place to settle down. She knew she would never give up her love of travel, but the thought of having a home-- of clan members to form lasting bonds with-- became an enticing new adventure. As Aiko began her search for a clan, she also sought ways to utilize her mastery of language. Until now, she had used her considerable skill only for herself, but now she sought to prove how useful it could be to others.

When she eventually found a clan to call her own, Aiko became their chief negotiator and interpreter. Thanks to her, Aiko’s clan was able to form new trade alliances with other clans across Sornieth, to resolve conflicts when they arose, and ultimately, to prosper. And Aiko herself had found a way to continue doing what she loved for a place she could finally call home.
