'The princess in the tower' is a tired trope that plays on prejudices and bias, discarding one as nothing more than a prize to be discovered and fought for...until it isn't.

What of the creature locked in a tower, forgotten for so long, but then finally discovered? What of the creature that can't leave its tower, but is still desired? Imprisoned by literal or figurative chains, immobilized by fate, this creature is still needed, can still create art and write down their deepest wishes, and still receive love and affection and aid from outside their tower.
