Teo

Teo was originally, of all things, a monk. He meditated and honed his powers within the monastery of the Great Furnace, dedicating all his hours to the mastery of Fire and devout prayers to the Flamecaller. Though Teo was raised to become a monk from his very birth, as he matured, his true mischievous personality, wild as the fires raging in the core of the globe, began to slip through his well-trained façade. Though Teo had incredible magic skills and a position of immense prestige at home, the monk trainee only became more rebellious as he aged, for the path of enlightenment and magical service was not one he wanted to travel any longer. Even fully trained, reaching the level of magical ascension that would bring an elemental acolyte as close to the raw power of a Primal-born dragon, the only thing Teo desired was his own path, even if it came at the cost of all his magical gifts, which he truly could care less for. One day, when the dam finally broke, Teo took what few possessions he had and fled the monastery. He flew for days, relying on his incredible powers for energy, until the magic coursing through his veins abruptly stopped up and sent him crash-landing in the Scarred Wasteland. But to Teo's luck, he landed near the lair of the Clan of the Wounded, which was where he sought refuge when he regained enough strength to move. In his weakened state, Teo spent much of his time squatting in the shadows of the lair, dodging security runes and tending to his wounds, until he wandered into the Common Pride Spa one day and fell in love with the relaxed atmosphere where there was no pleasing any deities, only other dragons taking care of their own. Upon seeing the spa only had an ice masseur, he went ahead and planted himself in the staff (without asking) as the hot rock masseur, and while there technically should have been some repercussions for him squatting for that long and simply inserting himself into the spa staff, Teo is too good at his job for anyone to complain about him being there.

Teo's powers did eventually come back to him, which allowed for him to become the most effective masseur he could be, being able to heat rocks with controlled streams of fire at the perfect temperature. He also exudes warmth to just be near, making his massage station a popular destination for dragons wanting to dry off after a bath (of the few in the clan that genuinely enjoy baths). However, because his power came from his time as a monk and as a result of his training, now that Teo is neglecting his duties, his immense Fire power comes and goes in waves, periods of powerlessness that can last several days. Teo's eyes darken as a sign of this, as well as the rest of his body taking on a more rusty brown than brilliant scarlet. When "powerless" and unable to perform his job, Teo either spends his time asleep or at the tavern speaking with Hotshot, a fellow runaway Fire dragon he feels much kinship with. But as soon as this talkative dragon comes back, he's right back to doing his job with incredible fervor and antagonizing Zule's ice massages, which he cannot fathom why any dragon would enjoy... not that he would ever want to try such a thing.
