Biography

 xxx Overview Avzel, the nonbinary Coatl, is one of the village's many fishers. They in particular prefer to fish at dawn and dusk, to catch the fish that come out around that time. They are very committed to their job - it becomes obvious to those who've tried to partner up with them and are met by very few words. Nobody can argue that they bring in good fish, but their fellow fishers wish they spoke more. |

From a young age, it was clear to the hatchling that they did not want to go near the water. They hated the feel of it on their talons and hated the way the saltwater got stuck in their feathers. It was bad enough they were cast out because of their natural, pale coloration; they didn't need to purposely make their life miserable. It wasn't until they were traveling to their ancient homeland of the Emberglow Hearth and they got a terrible burn that they began to appreciate the cooling touch of the water.
Spending more and more time near the water, they began to notice the fauna and flora of the oceans, and they began to fall in love with it. They loved floating out to the middle of oceans and staring out at the relaxing waves as fish nibbled at their rod. They loved the slimy, smooth feel of their scales if you felt them one way and the sharp, rough feel if you rubbed them the other. They loved hiding from Pirates and bargaining with them, no matter how terrifying it was. They loved being able to drift closer to their homeland for mating season, into warmer waters (and keeping plenty of healing supplies on board). And they loved the quiet and serenity of the open waters. |

Sometimes the quiet gets lonely. xxx Avzel loves the quiet - evident by their content with the silence. But they still got lonely every once in a while. Coatls were naturally social. They didn't let their occasional sadness get them down - they still loved their job, and they were still a fine fisher. They had to get into a scuffle with some pirates for them to meet. |
