Biography
The river runs in my veins, I know what lies beyond the riverbend.

Demigod of Freshwater - One of Four Water Demigods
Kohaku is one of four demigods serving the currently-absent Tidelord. Since the Tidelord's disappearance she has had more time for herself, and given her interest in accruing knowledge she has been spending quite a bit of time in Starfall Isles studying in the Tourmaline Archives.
Demigods serving The Eleven are blessed with 'Clarity' - the ability to recall history as their own lived experiences. This ability requires them to know what they are seeking to recall, however. Reading the impressive written history of the Archives allows Kohaku to commit everything she reads to her own memory and store it to recall when needed.
Demigods can also sense the 'Ripple' of important historical events in the near-future, and can sense when something historically-relevant will soon occur, though they don't know what. They simply follow the Ripple to its centre. Kohaku, being interested in learning that which she does not yet know, often shows up shortly before a major event following the Ripple.
Some feels she is the herald for catastrophe, as people are more likely to recall negative events than positive ones. King Resh is not keen on seeing Kohaku, and considers the River Goddess a bad omen.
Kohaku tries to not interfere with the politics of mortals - she has her own work to do, and feels it is irresponsible to use her gifts to dabble with others' affairs... Even still, once she has claimed something as her concern... Well, that's a different matter.
