He's always been the curious one, studying technology that comes from the Shifting Expanse, curious as to how he can improve the Tower's technology and scientific advances.

He wanted to learn about steam power and electricity, pushing the bounds of robotics as far as he could. Maybe a little bit too much, for one day, the Tower heard a deafening crackle of electricity before the lights blacked out, followed by a roar of pain.

Axial wasn't seen until several days after, limping around on creaking limbs. He's never spoken about what exactly happened, and the other Tower Dragons were too considerate to ask.
