"Welcome to Clan Roots, traveler."

Rolant is the well-loved founder and leader of Clan Roots. He manages most official clan business, from negotiating peace and trade, to settling clan disputes, to leading warriors in battle. He is a generally good-natured dragon, and is sometimes criticized for not being as strict and serious as a clan leader should probably be. Nevertheless, he is respected immensely by most of Clan Roots.

On the battlefield, Rolant is a sight to behold: smeared with warpaint and blood, the great leafy boughs sprouting from his shoulders creaking and twisting as he crushes his foes. With his hefty frame, he is essentially an unstoppable tank in battle. His fighting style is based around raw strength and intimidation because his wings cannot provide enough lift for him to fly efficiently. His inability to take the battle to the skies doesn't bother him though, as he knows he is never fighting alone.

Rolant's mate and Charge is Asali, whom he loves dearly. In the clan's early days, the two lost their first child, Jadus, the lone viable egg in a nest of five. Rolant was raising him to be his successor when the time came, but Jadus was tragically felled in a surprise Beastclan attack. It was a long time ago, but the loss still weighs heavily upon him.
