Ógleði may be blue, and her name may come off as unnecessarily on the nose to some, but she is not a joyless dragon. But her curse is undoubtedly sadness.

Able to sense, and absorb, the sadness of the world around her, Ógleði appears to have a fairly useless and unnecessarily self-torturing gift. What purpose would finding sadness have? What good could ever come from taking it from those around her? But Ógleði know what they do not-- sadness is liberation. It is expression, relief, an essential part of connecting to the world. For in a life without sadness, happiness ceases to matter. The subtle discontent of lacking such an important emotion has driven many a dragon to madness.

But Ógleði does not seek to drive others to madness, nor to deprive them of the chance to mourn, but to lighten the burden for those in pain. When a dragon is crushed beneath their own sadness and grief, unable to pull themselves from it, it is Ógleði that gently eases the weight from their shoulders.

She does not remove it, no, but helps them manage it. Carries it alongside them, a support in the darkest days, for do not all dragons need a light sometimes to guide them when the darkness grows too vast?

Ógleði takes pride in what she does, too, even if it is a terrible burden to bear. Like someone once guided her from the darkness, she now does for others, and there is beauty in paying back kindness to the world.
