Most non-Water Snappers understandably sink like a rock when dropped into water. Fishmo, however, took to it like his namesake. Most agree that this is possible thanks to his father's element-bending alchemical origins. His thin, streamlined scales allow him to move as if he was made of water himself. However, he is also especially susceptible to injury, since he lacks the thick natural armor of his Earth-born kin.

Hoping to use his unusual skills to his advantage, Fishmo trained himself to hold his breath for as long as possible. He began by diving for fish to help feed the clan. But, when he discovered his first shipwreck, his passions took another turn.

Now, Fishmo spends his days diving for treasures lost at sea. He does his best to return these items to their original owners or their next of kin. Because of his exploits, he has heard many tales from the survivors of sinking ships, which he is always eager to share when he returns home. If he cannot find a rightful owner, he carefully buries it in the Cairnstone Rest out of respect for the fallen.

Fishmo is extremely close with his sister, Mishmina. As long as he's not diving or dealing with sunken treasure, he's sure to be spending time with her. He has acted as the muscle for several of her pranks and jokes. His steady composure has gotten her out of trouble many times. Once, he even went before the clan administration to keep her from being ejected.
