xxxSaudade has not belonged to the clan for as long as most of its residents, but they settled in quickly. Their home seems to be next to the clan's main entrance, chatting up visitors and learning their stories. Instead of exploring the world physically as most Wind dragons do, they explore it through the eyes and tales of the dragons who enter the clan. Many dragons wonder why they have never left the tunnels of the clan, but they don't like to share. The fishlike spirit orbiting them offers no clues either, though some guess Saudade's excellent memory can be partially attributed to their familiar.
xxxThe dragons most prone to gossip and superstition have spread rumours claiming that they are a scorned spirit of Wind, a former Windsinger devotee, his loyal servant gone rogue, sent to live amongst the Sorneithbound dragons he shaped as a punishment for their evil deeds, which ranged from stealing a strong wind to killing another Wind spirit. Their theories of him being a divine being are supported by the fact that they never appear to eat. Saudade is aware of these gossipers, but makes no indication of it. The bravest - or perhaps most foolish - of them to ask them directly receive only ambiguous responses.
xxxThe truth is much simpler: Saudade cannot fly. Well, they could, if they really wanted to or had to, but doing so would be dangerous to them and everyone around them. The 'Windsinger's blessing' upon them, and displayed in their swirling green eyes, backfired. They don't know what caused it, or how to cure it, but when they fly, the primal wind begins to leak from their eyes, draining away their sight. Saudade quickly reduced their flying habits when they realized the connection, and has lived in sorrow ever since. The last time they flew, they were caught in a storm - one of the worst the Wind flight had seen since the hurricane that vanished the Tidelord.
xxxThey landed on the Reedcleft Ascent, near the Skycloud Clan, and sought shelter within. Saudade has stayed there ever since, flying through the memories of each of Skycloud's visitors.

Cocoamilk - Exalted to Tidelord Aug 1st, 2021

Azura

An electrician who learned the tools of their trade from their mother. They are in charge of 'modernizing' the Skycloud clan's new lair in the Reedcleft Ascent, stringing up electrical lights and crafting new mechanisms that usually inconvenience the clan more than convenience them. The Night of the Nocturne is, to no one's surprise, their favourite time of year. Azura always looks forward to seeing their species spread their wonder and whimsy across Sornieth, and they often visit the hatchery during this time to take care of the new hatchlings that have graced the clan. This year, however, their first in this new clan, some of these hatchlings are different. The eldest two should be nearly mature, but they still appear to be deep in hatchlinghood. Some other dragons whisper that the Nocturnes are cursed, but Azura doesn't think so. If anything, those two are a blessing upon the clan.

Meridian - Exalted to Tidelord

A devoted librarian and historian, Meridian can often be found under a pile of books, deep in thought. She tries to teach the clan's hatchlings about her past in the caverns, but they prefer to play games of tag.

Marshkeeper - Exalted to Tidelord

She was shunned for mating with him the night they met. Scorned for nesting a dead dragon’s eggs. So she left them. Three eggs were abandoned in a cavern in her old Wind clan, the clan above where she had been born and raised. She didn’t care of they lived or died, or if any of them ever went looking for her. All she knew was that freedom was a few short days away in the Ashfall Waste, where no one knew her or her past.

Lichenpelt - Exalted to Windsinger Aug 8th, 2021

A forager and reluctant hunter. Her green-and-brown pelt makes it easy for her to camouflage in forests and swamps. More experienced hunters drag her along on to hide behind her and surprise their prey.

Larissa - Exalted to Windsinger Aug 8th, 2021

- Her magic is not purely Wind; she refers to it as 'Frost' - She creates invisible 'spears' of Wind magic that is only available in Cold - The spears lower their target's body temperature, causing nerve damage in extreme cases - Larissa doesn't know why her magic doesn't conform with the standard eleven elements - When her mother returned from her self-imposed exile, Larissa didn't tell her the truth about why she was the only remaining child - As a hatchling, her magic had been nigh-uncontrollable and touching the tiny, vulnerable hatchlings had imbued them with her Frost

Syllektis - Exalted to Earthshaker

One of the last children of the Scorchedclan, and one of two Tundras to survive the rebellion. He is a collector of shiny things, and his name literally means "collector". It was because of his massive hoard that he and his siblings escaped their old clan and their father's tyranny. Some dragons have compared his behaviour and colouring to that of the notorious Crim the Collector. Syllektis shrugs and laughs it off, claiming something along the lines of "great minds".

Father of Riverstone, Rainsong, Wavestrider, Gustblaze, and Cadence. The former is the last child of his first mate, and still despises him. His other four children are hatched of Grasscrown, who has since left Skycloud Clan for "greater things". Rainsong and his younger siblings are led by Choral, a newhatched [first-generation] Banescale, in bringing the lost music of the Banescale to the Windswept Plateau. When Chime is not cheering on his beloved children, he is secretly plotting to overthrow the Council. He rarely agrees with their ideas and hates their stressing of the "natural balance" - Shadow is by far superior to Light, and there is very little Banescale representation. It was by luck that he was able to banish his disloyal first mate many years ago, but it would be too suspicious if he had to do it again. If anyone else outside of his inner circle discovered his plans, he would join her in banishment. Her daugher Riverstone disappeared when she was young, though in what little time he spent with her, he believed she shared some of his ideals. Chime has heard rumors of what some dubbed the Twilight Massacre - the murder of an entire family - and he has reasons to believe she was behind it. Though he is almost certain that she knows what he did to her mother, if he had the chance he would explain everything to her, and maybe, just maybe, she would side with him and end Stormherald's tyranny.

She knows that Riverstone has been keeping something from her about why she left her old clan, and she's sure she'd understand whatever it is when she finally opens up.
Bramble - Anesia's adopted brother, who follows her everywhere. He's much shyer, but he has an odd knack for guessing the thoughts of surrounding dragons.
