Ambience: Autumn Candle - Dragonfly Mage (Youtube)

-A heavy, size-changing creature that was once a horse in Mortal lands. She was first granted sentience and given the ability to change size by a wizard, then later given her freedom for her faithful service along with a heap of extra magic. Though she is very old and no longer resembles a horse at all, she's still bright and shows no signs of physical aging.

-Guards the edge of Fey territory, keeping in some of the more dangerous magical creatures from venturing to mortal territory.

-Obsessed with camoflage, she often rests in the same place for days at a time, letting foliage and dirt cover her completely.

-If you make her mad she will stomp you, literally. Luckily she still remembers her fondness for mortals from her equine days, and is tolerant of them as long as they're respectful.

If you pet Beiaard:
Beiaard will allow you to stroke her broad nose and forehead, so long as you ask respectfully. Petting her is like petting a cool, dry alligator; the ridges above her eyes remind you of a spiny lizard, becoming more bony until they turn into horns at the back of her skull. Some of her skin on her back and shoulders still faintly resembles horse-hide. The leaves and plants she wears are real and frequently replaced so that they don't start to rot, and you can tell that Beiaard likes to stay dry and clean. If you could understand her, she'd tell you that she often takes sand baths to stay hygienic.
