Orchid

Pilfered as an egg by a savage clan of rot who sought to conquer time itself, Orchid was slated as a consort for its war hungry leader. The young Fae was rebellious by nature, and held a deep love for the natural world, abhorring the desecration of her homelands wrought by her captors. Imprisonment was a frequent punishment for the disobedient Nature dragon, and it was behind bars Orchid found herself in the company of many captured dryads.

Her brutish captors did not speak the language of the forest, but Orchid did. She learned of the Plague clan's true ambitions from the nature spirits. Their target was a remote patch of wetlands where the waters flowed with excess time, the location of which the dryads would sooner die than reveal... but in Orchid, they sensed a companion.

A natural leader, Orchid rallied her fellow captives and lead an escape. Having earned the favor of its guardians, Orchid and her companions were allowed refuge in the garden of eternal life. Founded on a newfound alliance between dryads and dragons, The Gleamy Sanctuary was born.

Determined to live in such a way that would preserve the earth's natural beauty, she gathered like-minded dragons to bolster her cause and declared the wetlands they settled upon to be under their protection - now and for forever.

Orchid is pragmatic, passionate, and unflappably honest. Whether you find her lack of tact to be more refreshing or off-putting is a matter of taste, but there's no question of sincerity in both her words and actions. She believes it's better to be forthright in all areas of life, and many seem to be drawn to her because of this.

She's almost always accompanied by her dear companion and closest advisor, a beautiful dryad by the name of Verrucosa who earnestly believes in Orchid's ability to bring about a golden age of unparalleled growth. In fact, the two are romantically involved and have pledged themselves to one another, exemplifying the harmony they so desire between dragonkind and nature.

Her closest draconic companion is Nightshade, a fellow refugee who aided in her escape.
