Marx is a loony jester that loves to terrorize the residents of Dreamland. He is a natural prankster, whether it's the occasional trip or purposely leading someone into a black hole, he's a real troublemaker. Kirby has had to put him in his place on multiple occasions, but somehow he still finds a way to lead the young nocturne to think he's friendly. There was a time when he wanted to be a performer– he knows a variety of tricks, from juggling to flips, balancing on a ball, or even sprouting roses from the ground– but that dream quickly changed when he got on Kirby's bad side for the first time. He discovered then that he loves pure, unfiltered, chaos. Sure, he still loves to make other dragons laugh, but he prefers their screams much more. So far Magolor is the only dragon that can put up with Marx's antics, because, even though it may not seem like it right away, the two of them aren't that different. When Kirby first defeated Marx, leaving him stranded in space among the wreckage of a fallen clockwork star, his savior came in the form of the mischievous little alien we all know and love and his spaceboat (as Marx would call it). In return for Magolor's save, Marx happily freeloaded on the Lor Starcutter, and recounted his villainous exploits to the wildclaw. Though Mags eventually had to kick him out due to his food storage dwindling, Marx did find companionship with the fellow mischief-lover. The two are definitely closer than either of them would like to admit. And on another, more unfortunate note, although Marx's energetic personality does seem chaotic fun on the outside, it does have a downside for the mirror, as he has a somewhat major case of insomnia. The exhaustion is one of the main reasons that he is so psychotic. It's almost enough to make you feel bad for him. Almost.
