A small purple coatl snuck along the edge of the sea of a thousand currents, her eyes split between two elements. One was shadow, an element of trickery, and the other arcane, an element of curiosity and experiments.
She settled on a wet rock being slapped gently by the waves, and reached into her satchel. As her hand retreated from the inside an arcane egg sat in the palm of her hand. She let the egg hover just over a small puddle between the rocks and watched as it began to shake. Cracks forked like lightning spread over the surface of the egg and small pieces fell out of the shell.
The coatl's eyes watched the shell eagerly, and soon enough a small fae tumbled out. He blinked up at the coatl, who studied his eyes closely. Seeing only the pink of arcane she snorted and took to the sky, leaving the small fae confused on the shoreline.
Soon, though, a wildclaw appeared being led by a gloomwillow guide. When she saw the fae sitting by the shore she scooped him up in her small arms and took him back to the [clan name] clan settled in the lightning territories.
He grew up there, with only distant memories of the purple coatl and the waves, so there was nothing to miss. But sometimes, just sometimes, he considers flying back there just to see it. He hasn't been able to fully convince himself, but most of the reason for that is he worries about what would happen if he found that spot or wether or not he'd be able to find it at all.
