Tide

Tide is both as strong and as steady as the force of nature he was named for: a force that, given enough time, can wear sharp rocks into soft sand and vast beaches. To a lair in the territory of Lady Shadowbinder, Tide brings pale wings and warm honesty, and the sort of levelheaded sage wisdom that is needed in a place where the only source of illumination is the mushrooms underfoot.

He entered the lair as barely a day-old hatchling, but immediately took interest in the warriors that daily left the clan to bring back food, and all manners of strange trinkets. They were strong, and respected, and Tide wished to join them. Quickly, he was apprenticed to one of the great warriors of the clan: a master swordsman and respected elder, who taught Tide the way of the warrior. It was a far different life than Tide imagined. He was taught not only how to swing your sword, but how to show mercy to your enemies. Being a fighter was more than claws and blades and metal, Tide was taught. It was a way of life, an honor code, morals to live by.

Now, Tide is a leader. In the mornings, he leads the daily hunts, and in the afternoons he sits with hatchlings and teaches them the ways of the warrior that he was taught long ago. He is greatly respected, not only as a warrior or a master swordsman, but as a leader, and a genuine friend.
