When the Shade descended upon the land, it spread chaos as far as it could reach. Children of Loki, Illumn and Umbra were born out of that chaos. Together, these twins are the yin and yang of terror. They aren’t dragons, but rather, archaic embodiments of the primal of emotions that ran rampant during the Shade Age.

Umbra is a being of pain and suffering. His very aura is one of strife. Regret, sorrow, and longing follow him like a plague, infecting anyone in reach.

His breath attacks the very soul of his victims. When he is near, their will begins to wane and fear sets in. Panicked and scared, dragons that were once ready to fight cower pitifully. It causes dragons to doubt their own experience and wisdom, leaving them shells of their former self.

At first glance, no one would pay him much credit. His gaunt, pale skin and inky dark feathers makes him look like someone who is ready for the next world. Umbra himself is plagued by his own demons. His mind is never peace as he is constantly tormented by crippling trauma.

Despite his sickly appearance, there is an unearthly beauty to his features. Many dragons make the mistake of inviting him into their home, thinking he may need help. They invite in the very being of their demise, some never realizing he is the reason they will never know peace again.
