xxxxxDaughter of Thorondor and Narya, Maia was a stroke of luck when the clan was young. Initially seen as a mild disappointment from her duller colors, but her father noticed she had great potential. Maia didn't care either way, but she fell in love with Vaeltor when he made his way to the lair. With his help she journeyed to a far off wind clan, and once there, they had a clutch of four eggs.

Astoundingly two sons had the exact potential they had been scouting. Wash and Dessidaes brought with them new riches, and new alliances among numerous liars among varied elements. And to this day the clan speaks of the sheer luck Maia has been blessed with since her hatching. Thorondor never attempted another clutch for fear of the backlash some 'unluck' might have. Though Narya moved on and tried her chances.

Since that first clutch Maia has been taking it easy and enjoying gambling. Though for her, it's more like stealing from any newcomers foolish enough to challenge her luck. She's got a perpetual smirk, and exudes a laziness most of the time.Valroth simply laughs when others in the clan ask him to speak with her and encourage her to 'apply herself' or make used of her 'aged wisdom'. Maia, he thinks, has the right of it. Chances are if she did put her mind very seriously to something she would exceed beyond all imagining and end up breaking some law of causality. Safer to just enjoy life as it is, and help out the kids every once in awhile if they need some luck.
