LOYAL | JOYFUL | HARDWORKING
There is no greater devotee in the Asyli than Jaidarana. She throws herself in to the clan, preforming ceremonies, cultivating spiritualism, guiding her clanmates. And she does all of this with the cheer and dependability of the Twisting Crescendo. She never takes a break or a holiday, and never turns down an opportunity to help her clanmates, or envisage the Windsinger. And because of her generally happy nature, she's easy to approach and welcomed by everyone. She's trustworthy and well trusted by the Asyli, because she is so devoted to the Windsinger and the clan.

But in an almost comical twist of fate, despite all of her clear signs of devotion and adoration, Jaidarana rarely feels like she's doing enough. Because of that, she's usually on edge, happy but jittery; she struggles to relax. She wants to be the best shaman she can which leads her to be overly formal. She tends towards the grandiose and often ends up the subtle joke when others try to mimick her dedication. Unfortunately, in her determination to prove her loyalty to the Asyli she's also meek. She tries to be dutiful, but more often than not just comes off as obedient.

 HISTORY:
Jaidarana was born in an Ice flight, just across the Frigid Floes from the Windswept Plateau. Even from the moment she was hatched, she could see the Twisting Cresendo, just barely, a swirling mass of winds, and singing cyclone. Watching it, she was endlessly fascinated.

When she was old enough, when she was brave enough, she left her clan. Her parents and family couldn't stop her. They didn't want to. Crossing the Floes took three days of flying, and when she finally landed on the Plateau, she was exhausted but still two days from the Crescendo. But, weary as she was, she made the trek, stopping for one night among a very small clan calling themselves the Asyli. Once she'd made into the Crescendo, she was nearly overcome with a sense of freedom and belonging. So when she stepped out from it, she traveled back to that young clan, where she offered to be their shaman, knowing at last, she'd found her place.


PRESENTLY:
She is the brightest and best Shaman the Asyli has ever seen. She was christened as Hearer of the Winds by Rydellenan and Namid and has served the clan faithfully since she joined. She has been tested by the presence of her apprentice, Delbaeth. He is handsome and confident and ceaselessly alluring. She loves him, but fears that any physical consummation between the two of them would be punished, despite the assurances from the rest of clan. Thankfully, Delbaeth understands her hesitation and never forces from her more than she can give. In the Asyli, she has found everything she wanted, a home, a family, and a bright future.
