Sitting on a branch staring down at you in silence.


U1agInE.png Birch likes the moment when the leaves start to turn. Not the dried up dusty leaves of the end of summer, not the bleached long grasses with their heads of seed. The bright leaves, the rustling leaves, the sky-bound yellow leaves of fall. When the hillside starts to glow, bringing relief from the heat of the season behind, and the promise of rest in the season ahead. Her neighbors the poplar with their round quaking discs sing, a forest colony wide. The birds are busy, the squirrels chatter and the sap begins to slow.

Birch is probably the most tree-bound of the tree dragons in the woods. She relies on basic fae frill flutters and blinking to get her point across, on the rare occasion she has need to communicate. Verbalizing would be far too loud. Generally she just does a lot of peering, staring, and hiding. There are rumors that messages can be read in the manner in which the leaves fall, but they remain unconfirmed.
