Mir is the cloudy silence of Dawn. Some say he is an apparition, or a false mirror image of his radiant brother. Some hail them both as benevolent patron spirits; others see Mir as a cold, foreboding counterpart to his warm and living brother. His arrows are sometimes found sprouting from the necks of mysterious effigies. Regarded as the "unluckier" god of the two, and much more rarely seen. Some say Mir is the executioner, his brother the lifegiver. Others say that Mir is the merciful one-- a god of swift and natural death-- while his cruel and bloodthirsty brother rips victims prematurely from the world of the living. Regardless of what they believe, most inhabitants of the town make offerings to both.
