Lineage

Biography

The former overseer of his clan. Now reduced to a former shell of himself, Andrius can be found curled up in his "humble abode" surrounded by haphazardly written papers, covered in purple ink stains. Unresponsive to majority of the clan, exceptions few and far between. He looks to be in a constant state of remorse.

What happened to him?

Months had passed since the plague had struck the clan.
Hope had held out among the dragons. They prayed for the shadowbinder's protection of their eggs.
That hope failed them.
One by one, the nests all eventually succumbed to egg rot, tiny corpses left suspended lifelessly in the remaining fluids.
Until eventually, none were left.
The plague didn't stop there.
It wreaked havoc among the grown as well.
Many dragons of the clan fell ill. Little had the chance to see the light of day once more.
Those who did, suffered.
Their bodies rotting like perished fruit, flesh, bone, and sinew.
Even the mighty leader of the clan, Andrius, eventually succumbed to the grasp of the plague, suffering a loss even more so than the others who survived the plague.
Many would pass of a lack of physical strength and organ failure.
Andrius, however, refused to die.
He refused to let go of the clan; all he had built up to.
This determination would be what brought on his eternal suffering.
Reduced like the others to a weak, frail body, he barely resembled the kind and wise leader that the clan once knew.
He was driven mad by the knowledge he had let down his people.
Stricken even more so, by the loss of his own child, he sought out his last hope; changing flights.
He believed the shadowbinder had ignored the cries of her people.
So, he seeked out the lands of the plaguebringer.
The one who had sent fourth this wretched turmoil into fruition.
Kneeling before the statue of the plaguebringer, he pledged eternal alliegance to her flight, abandoning the shadowbinder who had long looked after him.

It was only after his success that his clanmates would notice the crazed look in his eye, and after much fighting, he was dragged away once more, into the darkness of home.
