Izanagi appeared on Acreron territory battered and desperate. Delusional with sickness and starvation, the young Pearlcatcher was taken in as a ward rather than treated as a threat. It was an unanimous decision that he should be kept in the clan-- he was barely old enough to sustain long distance flight and had obviously had a perilous journey to make it as far as he had.

He was far from cooperative when he first came to lucidity, startled to find himself in the hold of a clan. It took much work to sedate him to a state where he could be reasoned with. He would only repeat that somebody was coming, was going to get him. Eventually the poor youth was convinced that he was safe but he quickly withdrew from others despite this.

Izanagi does not have many personal relationships to speak of. He refuses to speak of family either. Those of Acreron have learned to be wary of the youth as well, as he holds a strange power to beguile the senses of others-- a trait thought to only belong to Veilspun. Efforts have been made to befriend him by a few; Even fewer manage any headway in the task.
