END An Angel - Watcher - All-knowing Many people often turn to praying when in times of stress or doubt. They prey for better days, for comfort, for hope, but how often to people know what exactly they're praying too? A higher being? What exactly does that mean? As a child you were raised to be religous, to belive there was more out there than there was, so when you fell down a rocky cliffside while playing as a child it only made sense to pray, to ask for help. But even as someone so young you didn't think anything would show up until you saw that... thing looming over your small frame. It was a mass of wings, swirling around themselves as it floated above you, it had no eyes, or mouths, or limbs, the noises coming from it as it spoke like nails on a chalkboard. You couldn't understand it or what it wanted from you, if it was there to hurt you or save you. It turns out the creature was there to do nothing, simply watch, like many angels are said to do. It was cruel in that sense, after all you were just a child, hurt and scared and alone. It didn't matter how much you pleaded or begged, the creature just remained watching you, waiting for you to die. For three days and three nights this continued until finally the rescue team had located you. They said you were delerious when they found you, crying about some angel that wouldn't help you. Till this day you still remember it watching you as you were carried away. |
