SweetKettle was hatched from a kettle.
Not as you may be forgiven for assuming, out of her egg that was placed in a kettle but literally from a kettle itself. Her mother, ConceptKettle , was shall we say… an odd duck. She sold the shiny purple and blue spotted kettle that was SweetKettle’s egg to Mulberry - who was quite entranced by the shining bowl. So SweetKettle came to be tenderly incubated over a cozy fire as Mulberry and her clan merrily brewed many tasty teas. It was quite a shock when their tea kettle hatched into a hatchling! .
SweetKettle didn’t mind all the hubbub she’d caused though. She happily cooed and slurped the sweet tea they had been drinking from the shell of her kettle egg. Thus, a tea lover was born!
She was adopted into the Merry Marauders and thrived! Despite her usual coloration for the region. She may not have known it but SweetKettle came from a long and proud line of... unique looking dragons. Perhaps these unique genes are how her mother came to lay a kettle? Only time will tell if SweetKettle has inherited the same particulars as her mother. For now, she remains a sweet, if somewhat spacey dragon who enjoys brewing and experimenting with all sorts of teas.

ConceptKettle loves the art of tea brewing so much that all she lays in her eggs are kettles, not hatchlings. Yes, we're not joking. No, we can't elaborate on why that happens, seeing as we ourselves don't understand it either. It's rare for a dragon's passion to pierce the very level of their biology, but then again, Concept Kettle is a rare derg herself - few in Sornieth can claim to be as knowledgeable in matters of tea as she. The liquid consumes her life and body, and she is a slave to Sornieth's traveling roads forever searching for more variants of her drug of choice. Bunt a few cups of green tea her way if you see her in pity. Consider it your good deed for the day.
