-His power doesn’t extend to caring for plants, though: he knows conditions they grow in, but not what the plant itself needs
-it’s also harder for him to understand alien plants — the less a plant adheres to a Sorineth-like ecosystem, the less detailed his knowledge gets

-parasitic plants are a bit of a 404 for him
-“oh yeah, this plant makes a good herbal tea. And it likes warm, moist conditions. But… uh… where does it grow??”
-actually gotten pretty good at figuring this out: if something’s drawing a blank for him, it’s generally bad news
-Mesoxylon is the worst example of this — he knows there’s… some sort of flora there, but all his magic is telling him is “plant!” and it’s kind of driving him nuts
