Sisters left and Star felt like a brother


Haven knew her sisters would leave. Since the moment the three eggs hatched, her two sisters were closer and sometimes Haven felt like a third wheel. Both her sisters Oak and Autumn talked about traveling, going on a journey, and finding themselves. Whatever that meant. She was expecting it yet when they finally announced at dinner to their parents that they wanted to leave their family to journey together, she felt disappointed and frustrated. Especially when her parents allowed them to! Why would they let them leave the clan — the family for some road trip!
When Oak and Autumn left Haven was there despite her anger toward them. She wanted to be there because she loved them even though she was still mad at them. Her mother Minty also talked to her.
“I know it’s hard to let them go. I’ll miss them too. But don’t you want them to do what makes them happy?” She did but she was still upset at them for leaving her.
“Do you know why neither of your sisters have asked you to come with them?”
“No.” Haven had just assumed it was because they didn’t want their third wheel sister to tag along and she wouldn’t want to leave with them and be the third wheel again anyway. She wanted to help her parents build and grow their clan.
“It’s because they know you want to stay and help me and your father. They wouldn’t ask you to leave with them because it wouldn’t make you happy.” Haven understood.
“We promise you we’ll write when we can.” Oak said.


When Haven had children with Cyfrin, two daughters, they grew up protecting the clan and are now working for the Gladekeeper.
