Mikey couldn't remember much before the virus took over his brain.
He could remember short flashes, though.
Pictures of a family.
Friends.
A good life.
But those memories didn't last long, and they left him frustrated and angry at his fate.
He couldn't even remember why he had traveled to the Plaguebringer's domain.
Or why he had made a beeline to the Wyrmwound.
Maybe it was his mind screaming at him to kill himself, to get rid of the….thing that was taking over his mind.
It had been too late then.
The virus that had taken over his mind had persuaded him to get to the Wyrmwound for other reasons.
And it was about t fulfill it's purpose.
Mikey didn't understand.
But he realized what the virus did to him when his hide started to melt and peel off.
And crooked horns and twisted shadows emerged, grabbing and twisting around his body.
The pain wasn't so bad, sometimes.
His almost demonic appearance did keep the other dragons away, for fear that it would affect them the same way that it had affected Mikey.
He didn't know what they were so worried about.
The virus had chosen him, after all.
Yet sometimes, he couldn't decide if it was a blessing or a curse.
It didn't help that the virus was affecting his mind, too.
At times, he would wake up, and another dragon would tell him of the things that he had done.
Things that he could never seem to remember.
It would explain why he had got up one day, and found that his hide was covered in gashes and cuts, on the same day that someone told him that he had fought another dragon in a fit of rage.
He wished that the thing in his head would get out.
It was taking over his life.
It was controlling him, now.
