Displaced King
Prisoner
"They say blood is thicker than water, but ice is thicker than blood."
In his youth, Sky, the progen of the clan, was a fair ruler, but as the clan grew, so did he. His ambitions led him on the path to war. He believed that ice was meant to rule, and the Icewarden should control all of the flights. Feeding his hunger for power, he declared war on many clans in various tribes.
The rest of the clan grew wary of the path Sky was leading them down, and voted a young dragon, Frosting, to be the new king. Sky stepped down, bowing to the choice of his clan, but later began to resent Frosting and his former subjects.
On a path to discover the truth of the world as he saw it, Sky flew into the Fortress of Ends, the frigid, unforgiving monument to the archaic past. He was lost for two years and a day, until Ninurtu, Fraenir, and Ventus, out on a territory patrol, sighted him plummeting to the ground from above the fog of the Cloudscrape Crags. He was unconscious when they found him, and covered in ice. It was later discovered that ice had fused to his bones and could not be removed without shattering the bone itself. He was brought back to the clan, where the healers tried everything they could to break his bond with the ice, but to no avail.
Four days after being brought to the clan, he regained consciousness and turned violent, destroying the caves and attacking his son, Wind. Ninurtu defended him, but was permanently wounded by Sky, and help did not arrive in time to save Wind, who perished at his father's claws. Enraged, Frosting ordered that he be locked away in the deepest cave of the Cloudscrape Crags, hidden and bound by the shaman, Xeria's magic.
To this day, Sky is hidden under the Cloudscrape Crags, frozen to his chains so he may never fly again.
