Mel

Full name Melanogaster. Mel is the one to do most of the dirty work around town. Waste Management doesn't have quite the same ring as Hazardous Materials Operations. It's the only way most others will take her seriously. She's the one that finds any way to responsibly recycle and compost many of the mining and food byproducts produced by the clan.

On occasion, she will have to handle breaches into radioactive material resulting from bursts of elemental energy hidden underground. This is where Mel is at her prime. Whisking away along a path with a radiation detector in hand, she locates the leaks with great precision. Any materials deemed too radioactive are quickly taken to one of the nearby labs to be tested on.

Mel often works in conjunction with Roland when she's required to contain his projects that go awry. While she sometimes admits how much she wants to sock Roland for his carelessness, she probably wouldn't find her job as near as enjoyable without him around.
