Lineage

Biography

Honorary Cloudspell (Skydancer variant)

The Cloudspells are a subspecies of Fae who spend practically their entire lives in the sky. They are specialists in weather magic, taking their name from the elaborate cloud "nests" they build over the sea that separates the reedcleft ascent and the starwood strand. Cloud-sculpting has been elevated to an art form by these diminutive dragons, who will use this unique gift to create vast cloud structures where their magic will allow them to live comfortably while being protected from most would-be enemies.

Cloudspells have blue and white scales, with cloud-like patterns on their wings that mimic their natural habitat, but wild magic surges from the Starfall isles have streaked their bodies with bright pink. It is believed that deeper, brighter colors indicate longer exposure to this magic, and thus stronger magical talent (an untested theory as of yet - scale brightness and patterns vary wildly within the species, and may be tied to meteorological phenomenons instead).

Recently, Skydancers have begun joining the subspecies as well. They are less apt at cloud-sculpting and meteorology magic, but more in-tune with the wind currents that surround them.
