Varya was not born royalty. He was a simple child who tasted grief far too young and sought to fix a problem that others deemed unfixable.
He grew up in a crowded area where the clans constantly fought, with each other and with the Beastclans. Countless villages and innocents have fallen to this generational conflict, with clan leaders unwilling to cooperate. So at the tender age of 18, he took up a sword and marched his way through the Valley. He garnered a small group of loyal followers, fellow orphans and veterans who were angry with the endless violence. He disposed of clan leaders who rebuked him and slew Beastclans who tried to cut him down. For years he bathed in blood until finally... the Valley was united under his reign.

Varya thought himself comfortable but the slow days of sitting through policy and infrastructure caused him to grow bored. He thought, 'why should we have to barter for needed food and supplies?". He began to grow restless, seeing that the chaos was not unique to his home. To unite ALL of Sornieth... now that would make him better than the Gods themselves.
