It would be fair, perhaps, to say there is shared essence among us, and our work is in recording and cataloging such forces and their manifestations." The hum recedes, yet the air still feels somehow electrified. Was this the work of the Seer? Or was it perhaps a sensed event, a lesser manifestation of the forces that warped the spaces between worlds? Almost as if heard, Ellerue responds.

"That was indeed a small shockwave. I see them, you know. Visually, as a distortion on the far horizon. It pains my sensitive vision, but many a lone traveler has been found and brought here through my gift. Despite my connection to this source... I cannot sense its origin. As if it were intentionally clouded... so we delve ever deeper through the shelves of the Archives, our books held as lanterns to bring light to this dark twilight."
