Originally an Aberrant Parasaur, Kai was given a human form via one of Rockwell's Overseer experiments going wrong. He was in a cryopod on Corinne's belt that was de-materialized by a strange shock wave that ripped through the Red Zone where she had been collecting red gem samples. Instead of being logged into the creature database, however, Kai was mistakenly sorted as human, and as such was generated his new form and spawned at the Ancient Device alongside Micah and Jasper. From there they took the plunge into the Fertile Region below and were found by Corinne. She did not recognize them, however, and had the trio living just inside the entrance to the Old Railway cave until she could secure them a place within the tribe.
Kai is the most soft-spoken and gentle of the quartet and prefers to spend his time tending to crop plots or raising newborn dinos than socialize with others (though he does enjoy human interaction). The only thing he enjoys more is leading the tribe out into the Fertile Region, working up a sweat climbing up and down steep cliffs and avoiding the sparks of a zipline. The only zone he avoids is the Red Zone, where a man beckons to him from the back of his mind with the promise of power without limitations packaged with his deepest desires. The longer he spends in the bowels of the corrupted ARK, the stronger the pull becomes. . .
