Name Meaning: Named after Maren Wavesingers
Why they live in a Fire Clan:

Officially, she's a navigator and part-time oracle who's part of the seafaring/traveling merchant branch of my clan, but is secretly a Maren spy from the Ice/Arcane border using the trade routes to pass information to the other Maren clans. She's either a dragon from a clan with a close alliance to the Maren, or an actual Maren Wavesinger using some newly invented spell to transfom into a dragon (I haven't decided which yet)
I think part of reason why I'm having a hard time pinning down her personality is that she has at least 3 or 4 layers of stuff going on:
Name Meaning: Named after Maren Wavesingers
- Since she's supposed to be a spy, she almost certainly has a less incriminating name that she actually uses, I just haven't actually thought of it yet.
- Is she a dragon allied with the Maren, or is she a Maren herself, disguised as a dragon through some new shape-shifting spell?
Why they live in a Fire Clan:
- Perhaps this clan was chosen for easy acess to Maren Contacts? This Clan in particular does have a Merchant Branch that specializes in in trading in the Sea of a Thousand Currents area and has a lot of Maren Familliars.
- Possibly realted to the "intrusions from the children of Fire and Lightning" that "have contributed to the fractured landscape, each conflict pushing the Frigid Floes' puzzle pieces farther apart"?

- Layer 1 "I'm a perfectly ordinary navigator, you should definitely hire me on your ship"
- Layer 2 "okay you caught me, I'm not an ordinary navigator, I'm enhancing my skills wìth magic and/or connections to pefectly benevolent Maren clans"
- Layer 3 "that was just a cover story, I'm actually a spy, using my job on your ship to pass information to other, non benevolent, Maren clans"
- and (possibly) Layer 4 "I'm literally a Maren in disguise"
