______ Lore... thinks he's kintsugi and therefore special/blessed but then when he comes of age and tries to ... "prove" his kintsugi-ness (maybe in one of those lightweaver temples) they reject him and he gets scorned/bullied by the classmates he'd initially bossed over and eventually spirals down a dark path full of revenge and anger. until dream meets gem... & gem helps him see it isn't healthy and he saves himself... and her too, as she makes him a deal both parties will benefit from (he teaches her how to fight and she'll give him a place in her kingdom).

______ Besides training with gem, dream picks up a new interest: caring for (butterfly koi. they're beautiful but many dragons frown upon & mistreat? them since they aren't actually "true koi", like him and his kintsugi-ness) and he starts to scour the land to search and rescue them. while trying to make peace with his mistakes, he begins searching in a lightweaver temple and comes across archon who was made fun of because of his new type of kintsugi (black and gold are considered inferior to white and gold by the elders and so?) and he steps in and helps him see things in a different light. archon was also sick of the constant pressure to look and act perfect and so when dream offers him a place in gem's kingdom archon readily accepts.
