There are several rumors about Belila and how she came to be. Some say that she's shade touched beyond redemption; others claim that she's not even a dragon, but a demon in disguise. In distant corners of Sornieth, in the clans where old members have taken refuge, there can be found hushed whispers that when the Plaguebringer spit in the Wyrmwound, she made Belila.

Belila knows of all the gossip that surrounds her, and she is pleased. As far as she's concerned fear is the best motivator for running a lair, and she had very few defectors. There is only one exception to her cold treatment and physical manipulation: Cynicism. She is aware of his devotion to her and knows that, should she lose it, he could become her greatest enemy. While she does not trust him or care for him more than any other cult member, she treats him kinder than the rest and strictly enforces his position as second-in-command.

She makes a habit of misdirection and manipulation in order to get what she wants and is constantly working towards her goal of personally infecting most if not all of Sornieth. She taints others with her own miasma-like blood in order to keep them under her unyielding command, some requiring more infection than others.

Belila frequently sets up rallies with Cynicism's aid and appears to the local dragons as a beautiful queen dripping with magnanimity, benevolence, and promises of curing the ill and healing the wounded. She uses these rallies as an easy way to spread her disease, ensuring a tighter hold on Sornieth as a whole. What her end goal is, she will not say. Whenever asked, she merely titters and says You'll know soon enough, my child~

Despite loathing touch and having a great distaste of any and all bodily fluids, she requires blood to survive. Cynicism gets past this obstacle by fixing her a special brew of tea made fresh every day with the dragons that are "exalted." Due to her inability to smell or taste, she does not notice. The colour never bothers her as she's mostly blind.

Only one of her children actually shares her DNA, and only tentatively through a mixture of Arcane magic, Lightning science, and Cynicism's reluctant involvement as the second parent and set of chromosomes. Apathy was created for one reason and one reason only: someday, should the need arise, she will be used as a sacrificial lamb so that Belila can continue her plans should she be mortally wounded. The rest of her "children" are nothing more than living infections in dragon form, who are either exalted or sold into unsuspecting clans.

She has been to all 11 territories in Sornieth spreading the sickness, her terrible plan going on without a hitch. There are more whispers on how to end her, though despite several attempts to physically maim her she remains in perfect health.
