GardenHose

Gardenhose's original birth name is Margaret. She got the nickname everybody uses from being the exact color -- and general shape -- of a green rubber hose, and liking to work outdoors. She's the oldest fieldworker in the Clan, and runs the apprenticeship program now, since all beginning archaeologists have to pass through the fieldworker stage before they become analysts or instructors. Gardenhose is more than competent enough to have moved on to an analyst's role -- indeed, many of the analysts ask her opinion if there's something they don't understand about an artifact -- but she's never wanted to leave fieldwork. She loves the art of finding and gathering artifacts without breaking any or losing the critical information gleaned from knowing exactly where and in what context an item was found.

She's had a number of casual mates but no long-term partner, and her children have all either left Hearthstone for other clans, or else gone off to serve the Earthshaker. She has many old and dear friends within Hearthstone, however. Carolin and Stonecore have been her closest friends for many years, and Aedion is the buddy she calls her 'partner in crime'. When the two of them get slightly drunk and start thinking of pranks to play, watch out! Prudent dragons hide.
