Lumens

Lumens is the unshakable patriarch of Clan Ambrosium and has been for many generations. His great age is not a weakness, but a strength. The Guardian descends from a long and ancient line of Light dragons whose pure bloodlines can be traced back to the beginning of the current Age, when dragonkind first walked the earth. As such, he rigidly upholds traditions that many other clans have abandoned or simply forgotten, though he is far from being a tyrannical ruler.

Lumens leads the clan with wisdom and compassion, welcoming dragons of all flights and backgrounds into his fold. He believes that while traditions should be celebrated and honored, the best way to survive in a changing world is through acceptance and embracing the differences and knowledge that all elements offer; the world is, after all, made up of many different elements coexisting in harmony. His highest devotion is reserved for the Lightweaver, but he respects all deities and does not even make enemies of Shadow dragons.

Despite Lumens’ many years, he remains a powerful fighter, though he chooses to use his powers for protection. His age means that he has developed vast reserves of magic, and is not a dragon to be trifled with; he will simply outlast younger opponents, deflecting or defending attack after attack until his opponent runs out of magic or gives up, whichever comes first.

The Guardian’s most noticeable feature is his almost complete blindness. The handicap does not seem to outwardly trouble him, but as the blindness claims more of his vision he leads a far more sedentary lifestyle, preferring to stay close to his lair with his children and adopted kin. He is inseparable from his mate and Charge Roseus, who acts as his eyes and is the matriarch of the clan.
