Biography

History remembers the colors of the lesser gods, concrete fact etched into lasting marble and sentimentality rooted in oral stories. The greens, oranges, browns and ever-present maize reminders of earthen tissue and heavenly riches.

it is believed that as the presence of the gods ebbs and flows in and out of many planes, the Radiance and the known Glare, so do their appearances, their colors. Their light seeps from Wherever into the mortal dragon, and said dragon takes on the color of the deities' pursuit- light, life, growth. Dragons bearing colors adjacent to the dieties are believed to have been blessed in this way- assigned an essential task. A near-to-exact fall within the scheme of the First Ones may occur, as if these dragons are pseudo children.

However, it seems dragons born out of long lineage of a similar color history still lack this connection, and the power a dragon may posses is likely to be greater if purposeful coloration does not occur- it seems the dieties themselves have a hand in things, withholding power from those who pursue it, and lending it to those who respect it.
