[ Fossils - Goldfish - An Important Dragon ]



With a spirit touched by the Tidelord, her mother's god, Addison often found herself playing in the waves as a hatchling. She loved when small silvered fish swirled around her ankles and brushed her scales. Creatures of the deep fascinated her, unlike the other hatchlings, who found them weird and gross.

Her father watched over her sharply, nursing a growing resentment towards her mother for letting her play so freely in the surf. He knew the Arcane lands that were their home intimately, and he knew things had power here - more than met the eye. A devoted follower of the Arcanist knows the magic that hangs in the air everywhere, and one can never be too careful.

In spite of this, it became clear Addison's fascination with "goldfish" - as she called them - was more than a passing interest. Her tidepool where she caught and raised them, from the strange to the ordinary, was her Charge. She was carefree in collecting species with her bare hands, always laughing long and loud like her mother, never stepping back in concern like her father until it was too late.

When they saw the patches of fish scales spreading all over her body it had already gone far too long.
