Loyal, Fierce, Stubborn
Maximum is the silent, fierce leader of the clan. She fights with ruthless determination and strength, and protects the clan from unfriendly forces. Never one to back down from a fight, she does not give up easily. She makes sure that all dragons in the clan know that she is their superior, and often acts aloof, sometimes even disdainful, but in truth she has the biggest heart of them all. All the other dragons in the clan look up to her strength and skill, and, while she finds them mildly irritating, she knows that she would give her life to defend them. Her mate is Sciens, and she finds him frustratingly passive.
Maximum has been mute since birth, but whether of her own accord or her simply not being able to, no one is sure of why. She had not yet hatched when her clan was attacked and her family killed. The egg carrying her was damaged, but she survived as the flames from her nest kept her egg warm, just long enough for her to hatch. She learned to survive on insects and small animals, teaching herself to hunt and travelling from one place to the other. She met Astrum, an older hatchling orphan, and his sister, Stella, while she was hunting, and they traveled together. Sometimes other clans let them stay, but she never felt comfortable there and the other dragons were unnerved by her unnatural silence, so she always left after a short time. She kept wandering until she found the beautiful meadow where the clan lives now, settling down and beginning a life with Astrum.
