- Head maid of the Scarlet Devil Mansion. Has complete order over all the fairy maids working here, and is also the personal maid of Remilia herself as well. While the fairy maids do daily tasks, she oversees them all and keeps a close eye on her young vampiric mistress and on her every whim. It is said that the temperature lowers a little when Sakuya is present, you'll sense her with a shiver before you can even see her, which makes for a terrifying sense of dread and looming danger when you're an uninvited pest.
She is the one sent to resolve incidents on behalf of Remilia.

- Hieda no Akyuu has theorized that Sakuya may have been a former vampire hunter bested by Remilia, who took her in out of sympathy, and that the vampire's ability to control fate may have something to do with her longevity and superhuman powers. This may be true or false, once again, the maid isn't very talkative about her true origin.
Today, they claim to be found family, with Sakuya being a third, unofficial scarlet sister in the eyes of Remi.

- Despite Remilia's mood swings and tantrums, Sakuya is always respected by her vampiric master. Despite what you'd think of someone with such power and attitude, Remilia goes the other way around to take care of her beloved maid. Sakuya is the only one who has seen Remi at her most vulnerable, and since the trust is mutual, the opposite is also true.

- Along with pinpoint accuracy throwing knives she seems to spawn out of thin air, Sakuya has the deadly ability to control time. The two combined together make her a terrifying opponent for trespassers or people who would have ill intent towards the Scarlet Sisters. If someone has the "luck" to get past Meiling, the gatekeeper, they're in for the rude awakening that they sealed their doom as soon as they make eye contact with the blade-wielding wildclaw.

- Nobody truly knows how old Sakuya is. She claims to be a common, non-magic dragon in her late teens or early twenties, but evidence shows that she has been around the mansion for much longer. Her very existence is a puzzle with many missing pieces that Remilia seems to have, but refuses to give out. It is very possible that Sakuya has frozen herself in time to have a lifespan on par with those of the Scarlets, but she refuses to confirm or deny that rumor.

- Sakuya seems to be a natural with children, implying that perhaps, far far off into the past, she may have had siblings of her own, hence her pitch perfect experience with handling two eternally youthful vampire princesses. She is very kind, never raises her tone against them, and has a way with the both of them that calms them down from tantrums as easily as she breathes. This can also be useful when Remilia sends Sakuya to resolve incidents along Reimu and Marisa, as the maid is likely to encounter youkai children such as Rumia, Cirno and the three fairies of light.
