Soumrak

Soumrak is the leader of clan Bratsche. He rules over dusk and the nighttime, and many of the diurnal familiars and beasts fear him for it - even a few of the clan. Despite his fierce reputation, however, there is no dragon with a bigger heart than his. He has seen many things during his many years guarding over the realm of dusk and night, and because of this, he is incredibly wise. Many dragons in the clan go to him for advice.

One of his favourite activities is playing with the hatchlings and telling them incredible tales at bedtime. When not guarding the night or the clan, he can be found poring over texts in his study and collecting new tomes for his ever expanding library. Someday he may just have all the knowledge of Sornieth resting in his hoard.

Soumrak is forever attached to his soulmate, Svitanyi, who rules over the dawn and the day. The two are polar opposites in many respects, but they balance each other out and are soulmates in the truest sense. Unfortunately, Svitanyi was lost when the clan made the perilous journey from the mountains into the land of the Arcanist, and Soumrak will never give up hope that his dawn will someday return.

Rejoice! Soumrak and Svitanyi have finally been reunited. Being a phoenix dragon, she had turned to ash and the new egg had been found rolled into Sonata's nest. Sonata never questioned this strange egg, and raised it as her own. The day of Svitanyi's hatching was a day of celebration and jubilation, with the clan being whole for the first time since its move to the land of the Arcanist and finally to the domain of the Icewarden.
